Hi, I’m Raquel.

For more than [twelve] years I have been supporting families through one of the most beautiful and most exhausting times of their lives. I am a state-certified [early childhood educator] and a certified Newborn Care Specialist, and I have accompanied [more than 80] babies through their first weeks.

What matters most to me: you remain the parents. I bring calm and experience, but no rigid rules. Together we find out what suits you and your child.

Good to know: I am not a midwife and I don’t replace one. I complement your midwife and paediatrician in everyday life, between appointments.

When the days feel long

The first weeks are full of questions. I bring answers, two free hands and the calm you might be missing right now.

Preparing for arrival

For parents in the last trimester of pregnancy

I visit you at home, we go through your baby essentials and set up the changing and sleeping areas so that they still work at three in the morning. We also talk about your wishes for the first weeks.

Scope
2 to 3 hours, one-off

Daytime newborn care

For the first twelve weeks after birth

I show you what really helps in everyday life with a newborn: bathing, babywearing, bottles, soothing. And I take over so you can shower, eat or simply sleep.

Scope
from 4 hours per visit

Nanny care

For children up to [6] years, siblings too

Loving and reliable care, on a regular or flexible basis. Especially popular when a new baby arrives and the older sibling suddenly needs a lot of attention.

Scope
by arrangement

When it gets quiet outside

The nights are often the hardest part of the first weeks. With night care you sleep through while your baby is in trusted hands.

Night care

I take care of changing, bottles and soothing. If you are breastfeeding, I bring the baby to your bed and take care of everything else afterwards. In the morning you receive a night log.

10 pm to 6 am

Gentle sleep support

For babies from [4] months. Attachment-based and without leaving your baby to cry it out: together we develop a rhythm that suits your child and your everyday life.

What parents often ask me

Your question isn’t listed? Just give me a call or send me a message.

When should we get in touch?

Ideally in the second trimester of pregnancy. I only ever support [two] families at a time, so my places are limited.

Do you replace our midwife?

No. Your midwife is responsible for the medical care of mother and child. I support you in everyday life, by day and by night, and I am happy to work together with her.

What happens if our baby arrives early?

I plan a buffer around your due date. If your baby arrives earlier or later, we move the start together.

Where do you work?

In [City] and within a radius of about [30] kilometres. For longer journeys we will find a fair solution.

How much does your support cost?

That depends on how much support you would like. After our first call you receive a proposal with fixed prices and no hidden costs.

Will our health insurance pay?

As a rule, my support is paid for privately. Whether there is an exception in your situation is best clarified directly with your health insurance provider.

Tell me about yourselves

A few lines are enough. I will get back to you within [24 hours] and we will find a time for your free introductory call.
